Jamie Underwood serves as the Acting Director of the Office of National Examinations and Supervision. In this role, she oversees NCUA’s supervision of the corporate credit union system and consumer credit unions with $15 billion or more in assets.
Ms. Underwood initially joined the NCUA as an examiner in Atlanta, GA in 2000. She subsequently held the position of Problem Case Officer in the then-Region II and National Examination Team. In the NCUA’s headquarters, Ms. Underwood served as a Loss Risk Analysis Officer and Supervisory Financial Analyst in the Office of Examination and Insurance, before returning to the region in 2013, fulfilling the roles of Director of Special Actions and Director of Supervision. Ms. Underwood transitioned to the role of Deputy Director of the Office of National Examinations and Supervision in January 2023.
Ms. Underwood holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
